Norwood Venture Corp. (NVC) is a small business investment company organized in 1980 as EAB Venture Corp., and operated until early 1988 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of European American Bank (New York). In April, 1988 a group of individual investors, including NVC's management and directors, acquired 100% of the company's common stock and changed its name to Norwood Venture Corp. Norwood Venture provides risk capital to both private and public companies for growth, acquisition, buyouts, and special situations such as recapitalization, bridge financing, and turnarounds. NVC seeks investments throughout the U.S. with a preferred investment range of $50,000 to $250,000 per company.
