Origami is an employee owned hedge funds sponsor that focuses on assets that are trapped in illiquid ownership structures and encumbered by litigation, debt, or other restrictions. Examples of specific holdings include interests in commercial real estate, private operating businesses in developed and emerging markets, as well as energy and infrastructure assets. The firm makes investments in between $10 million and $50 million, invests globally, but focuses primarily on assets in North America and Europe. Origami is a registered investment adviser, and since its inception in 2008, has invested over $1 billion.
