Founded in 2003, PTV Sciences is comprised of experienced entrepreneurs and investors, and focuses on a limited number of compelling seed and early stage investment opportunities in the life and material science sectors. The fund plans to invest $1 million to $4 million each in 15 companies in its first $60 million fund, but will consider financings as small as $250,000. PTV invests in 'Hard Sciences' primarily: Life Science (medical devices, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and diagnostics) and Material Science (bio-materials, electronics, advanced materials, and nanotechnology). PTV has invested through two funds -- PTV I closed in 2004 at $66 million with twelve investments that have resulted in two IPOs and two mergers; PTV II closed in 2006 at $191 million with fourteen investments, ten of which are currently reporting revenue. Over $2 billion of value created since 2012.
