Established in 1982, Pantheon Ventures has actively managed investment relationships with over 500 private equity partnerships in 30 countries. Since 2004, Pantheon has been wholly owned by Russell Investment Group. In 1987, Pantheon created the first private equity fund of funds to be quoted on the London Stock Exchange. Pantheon has over 200 employees and more than $32 billion in assets under management. Pantheon's fund stage focus includes leveraged buyouts, early-stage or later-stage venture capital, and special situations, such as distressed debt, turnaround, and mezzanine funds. The firm invests in multiple regions, with primary funds focused on the U.S., Europe and Asia. The firm's secondary team collaborates with Pantheon's primary teams to leverage relationships and resources and uniquely position the firm to identify attractive investment opportunities. Secondaries cover a wide range of transaction and asset types. These may include: Portfolios of fund interests; Secondary directs and orphan assets; Portfolios of combined fund and direct interests; Tail-end funds; and General partner team spin-outs from a parent organization.
