Founded in 1997, Peachtree Equity Partners is an Atlanta-based private equity fund (Fund I, $110,000,000) formed to acquire the private equity portfolio of legacy Wachovia Corporation, and to make investments in profitable, middle-market companies located primarily in the Southeast. Fund II was formed in May 2009 ($60,000,000) and was licensed by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as a Small Business Investment Company (SBIC). Peachtree pursues structured equity investments in established, profitable companies with at least $20 million of revenue and a minimum of $3 million of operating income and an EBITDA of $2 million - $10 million. A typical investment will range from $3 million to $10 million and can be in the form of debt, equity or a combination of both. Peachtree seeks an equity position of 20%-49%. Peachtree typically invests in the fields of business and financial services, as well as government contracting and specialized manufacturing.
