Pillar VC is a venture capital firm with 22 CEOs and founders at some of Boston's hottest tech companies, including DraftKings, Wayfair, Acquia and TripAdvisor. Pillar focuses primarily on very early-stage ventures with the aim of being the 'first capital in' for the seed round or Series A round. The firm may invest a few hundred thousand dollars initially, but will reserve up to $6 million or $8 million per company total for later rounds or if they're going through a rough patch.
