Founded in 2005, Platte River Equity is a private equity investment firm focusing on small and middle market private operating companies, targeting equity investments generally between $25 million and $100 million, and in companies with revenues generally between $20 million and $250 million. The firm focuses on potentially out-of-favor industries with improving prospects, as well as fragmented industries, which can benefit from consolidation. Platte River has a particular interest in the following industries: Aerospace manufacturing and services; Industrial products and services; Metals, chemicals and natural resources; and Energy services and infrastructure. The firm closed Fund III in 2012 at $405 million. Platte River Ventures II, L.P., with total commitments of $235 million, was closed in 2009.
