Plexo Capital is a venture fund formed inside GV (formerly Google Ventures). The fund is based on GV's strategy to increase access to differentiated deal flows and seeks to make investments into women and minority seed stage VCs. The firm closed (December of 2019) its first fund of $42.5 million. The plan is to invest in both startups and emerging VC funds, with 60% to 65% of the capital going toward venture capital funds as a limited partner, and 35% to 40% going directly to startups. The fund's investors include Alphabet, Intel Capital, Cisco Investments, the Royal Bank of Canada, Kapor Capital, the Hampton University Endowment and the Ford Foundation. Through one touchpoint, companies gain access to 18 venture funds, as well as all of their Limited Partners, who invest on their own.
