Plymouth Management Company (PMC) is a general-purpose venture capital firm financing and adding value to growth stage companies in Michigan and the Great Lakes region. PMC manages three funds, Plymouth Venture Partners I (PVPI), a $23 million pledge fund that has been investing since 2003, and Plymouth Venture Partners II (PVPII). PVP II had its final close for investors in September 2011. The fund size is over $40 million. The firm announced the final close for Plymouth Venture Partners III (PVP III) in July of 2014. Surpassing its fundraising target of $60 million, PVP III will continue to execute on the same strategy and focus as PVP II. With the close of the PVP III, Plymouth Ventures now has over $150 million in committed capital under management. PMC managed funds typically commit investments of $5 to $10 million in growth-stage companies with strong management and proven commercial viability. PVP II is a committed fund that focuses on growth stage companies in the Great Lakes Region with established revenue streams. Plymouth also will participate in change of ownership or control transactions. PMC primarily invests in technology applications, service and manufacturing sectors.
