Founded in 1989 in Charlottesville, Virginia, Quad-C is a private investment firm that specializes in investing in profitable businesses valued between $50 million and $500 million and growing them in partnership with management. The firm's transactions provide liquidity for owners, capital for growth and significant equity opportunities for key management. Quad-C has invested in over 70 platform companies and completed more than 125 transactions, valued in excess of $5.5 billion. The firm has approximately $3 billion in capital under management and is currently investing Quad-C Partners VII, LP, an investment fund with committed equity capital of approximately $1 billion. The firm makes control equity investments of $20-$125 million in the following industries: building products, business services, consumer products, distribution, education and training, healthcare, light manufacturing, media, packing, restaurants/food, security and corrections, specialty chemicals, specialty finance, and transportation and logistics. The firm closed (March 2017) its oversubscribed ninth fund at a hard cap of $1.1 billion, beating its $800 million target. Fund IX will back mid-market companies whose enterprise values range between $75 million and $400 million.
