RDV Corporation is a family office for the DeVos family that was founded in 1991. Ottawa Avenue Private Capital, LLC (OAPC), an affiliate of RDV Corporation, is an investment advisory firm. RDV Staffing provides domestic, household and property related positions predominately in West Michigan. The family has a second family office called Windquest (see profile). DeVos and his wife Helen, became co-chairs of the Education Freedom Fund in 1993. The Fund provides private scholarships to low-income families in Michigan with wishes to attend schools of their choice. When the Children's Scholarship Fund provided $7.5 million to the Education Freedom Fund, the DeVos matched the grant, and their foundation covers all of the administrative costs of the organization. According to Forbes, the DeVos family owns a fleet of 12 private jets -- 1 Boeing Business Jet, 5 Gulfstream G550s, 1 Gulfstream G450, 2 Bombardier Challenger 350s, 3 Cessna Citation CJ4s -- and four helicopters. DeVos is Co-Founder of direct-selling giant Amway Corporation, as well as the owner of the NBA's Orlando Magic and a minority owner of the Chicago Cubs baseball team. DeVos retired in 1993, and Amway is now under the corporate umbrella of Alticor, run by DeVos's children. The DeVoses have given money to organizations ranging from local schools to the regional symphony. According to the Philanthropy Roundtable their giving is helping turn Grand Rapids, Michigan, into one of the livelier and healthier small cities in the U.S.
