Red Bear Angels is a highly active network of angel investors and startup enthusiasts supporting companies founded or led by Cornell alumni, students or faculty. Red Bear Angels has invested ~$8 million across 26 companies to-date on behalf of its 500-person network, with an investment size of $250k. Red Bear Angels primarily invests in the late seed stage with an average initial check size of $205,000, including an average $40,000 from each of five investors per deal. The firm is sector and stage agnostic. 2-3 companies are invited to pitch per month. Based on diligence checklist and interviews with Red Bear members with relevant domain expertise, the Investment team and Advisory Board will vote on 2-3 companies to present at the next monthly pitch meeting.
