Rees-Jones Holdings is a family-owned and operated company based in Dallas, Texas. Rees-Jones Holdings founder, Trevor D. Rees-Jones is worth nearly $5 billion (according to Forbes) and began investing in mineral and royalty rights alongside his Chief Oil & Gas Barnett Shale exploration and production activities in the early 2000's. Since then, he has built several companies that own and manage nearly a million net mineral acres in 31 states throughout the nation. The most recent ventures have focused on the Permian Basin and include a mineral and royalty company, TD Minerals LLC, and a non-operated working interest company, Chief Capital O&G II LLC. Since 2015, TD Minerals has aggregated more than 30,000 net royalty acres and continues to manage these assets day-to-day. During the same timeframe, Chief Capital O&G II has acquired more than 4,200 net mineral acres of leasehold and currently participates in over 350 horizontal wells as a non-operator. Rees-Jones Holdings continues to be a competitive participant in the market for both minerals and non-operated leasehold. Rees-Jones owns Cook Canyon Ranch near Ranger, Texas. In 2006, Trevor Rees-Jones and his wife founded the Rees-Jones Foundation, a private foundation established primarily to support and funding for programs that help improve the quality of life for the people of North Texas. Major recipients of grants from the foundation include the Boy Scouts of America's Circle Ten Council, the Dallas Arboretum, the Dallas Museum of Nature and Science and the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center.
