Formed in May 2008, The Reno Angels are a group of accredited investors dedicated to providing equity capital to early and mid-stage entrepreneurial companies in Northern Nevada. The group provides seed and early-stage capital in the range of $100,000 to $500,000 to companies that they believe have the potential to grow to more than $50 million in annual revenue within five years. While business proposals are submitted to the group, investment decisions are made strictly by the individual angel investor. The Reno Angels generally do not invest in companies located outside the Greater Reno-Tahoe area, companies offering non-convertible debt instruments, retail operations, motion picture or television projects, or the buyout of existing businesses.
