Resilient Ventures is a committed capital fund that invests in African American Founders leading companies that have determined market fit and are generating revenue. Their initial check is between $100-250k and then they follow on as the companies meet their milestones. Fund Iā€™s goal was to make 10-12 investments and we are on target. Managing partners in Fund I provided 28% of the committed capital. They reserve at least 40% of the fund for follow-on funding. Resilient targets companies at an early-stage with a least one year of revenue. Industry sectors include: Tech or Tech-enabled, Consumer Products, Impact, Health (non-medical). The firm prefers companies operating in the EST, but does not exclude on the basis of location and expects to syndicate with other aligned, larger national funds.
