RevTech Labs is geared toward Charlotte's developer community and provides a place for tech startups to launch. The three-month program focuses on early-stage mobile, software and web companies. RevTech Labs provides free work space, mentorship and programming all geared toward revolutionary technology startups. All companies will be required to locate within the same community space. The 4,000 square foot space, located within Packard Place, provides shared desks, break space, and casual meeting space. Mentorship from local, regional, and national tech talent will help to guide startups as they focus on building their products and defining their business models. The program will culminate in a launch day, where the startups can connect with local and regional investors and customers. Rev Tech Labs has three component programs as part of the Labs: The Accelerator; The Incubator; and QCFinTech (a program focused on Financial Services Tech Innovation). In conjunction with Sierra Maya Ventures, RevTech operates a 506(c) index fund that will allow accredited investors to invest a minimum of $2,500 across all 10 graduating companies. The terms of the crowdfunding index fund may change by class based on market conditions but historically the terms have been similar to the following; It is done as a 2 year convertible note, 24 month term, around 6% interest, with a 20% discount at conversion, and a $2M cap on valuation.
