Founded in 2001, RoundTable Healthcare Partners is an operating-oriented, private equity firm focused on the healthcare industry, currently managing $1.9 billion in equity capital (through five funds). The firm targets segments of the healthcare industry that benefit from underlying growth trends and fall within the expertise and experience of the firm's principals, including: Disposables, Medical devices, Medical products, Medication delivery systems, Specialty pharmaceuticals, Specialty distribution, and complementary outsourced services. The firm does not invest in service-oriented provider segments, Internet, e-health, or biotechnology companies, or start-up/venture situations. RoundTable typically makes equity investments of approximately $5 to $50 million in platform companies with revenues ranging from $25 to $300 million. The firm's first equity fund of $400 million was raised in 2001-2002. RoundTable made seven platform investments from Fund I in approximately three years. Its second equity fund of $500 million was raised in March 2005. RoundTable Capital Partners, its $200 million subordinated debt fund, was raised in July 2006. RoundTable raised their second $200 million subordinated debt fund, RoundTable Capital Partners II, in July 2010. The firm has supported over 70 add-on transactions for portfolio companies in partnerships with their management teams, and helped lead all aspects of the deal process.
