    Description:

    SFW provides capital and support to build businesses through management buyouts and growth investments in mid-sized companies. The firm currently manages over $300 million in equity capital and focuses its investment activity on businesses that provide analytical tools and outsourced analytical services. This includes instruments, software and information, and outsourced services that are involved in research, engineering, product development, quality control, diagnostics, process monitoring, marketing or other critical decision-making processes within companies. SFW typically invests from $25 to $100 million of equity in each company. The firm invests in established businesses (including family businesses, public and private companies and corporate division carve-outs) where there is some history of profitability and where the company has a solid position in its core markets. The firm looks for firms with revenues of $10 million to $100 million. The firm has over $950 million in total capital commitments.
