Founded in 2000, Sand Hill Angels is a 140+ member group of successful Silicon Valley technology professionals dedicated to the formation and growth of startup companies. The group invests in private companies at all stages and favors technology investments in clean technology, Internet startups, information sciences and life sciences. In the Information Sciences, Sand Hill is particularly active in Semiconductors, Enterprise Software, Storage and Communications. In the Life Sciences, the group's interests include medical devices, diagnostics and bioinformatics. Sand Hill Angels typically invests $50K to $1M at a pre-money valuation of less than $5 million. The group either invests as part of a seed or Series A round, or a later-state bridge investment. The group prefers companies that can deliver revenues of $50M to $100M within a four to five year period.
