Founded in 2009, SeedStep Angels is a network of high net-worth Oklahomans who provide capital, strategic advice and mentoring to emerging growth companies. Typical investments range from $50,000-500,000 with individual members making investment decisions. The SeedStep Angels Group currently has chapters in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Prospective investments should be operating in a market sufficiently large to create a business with a minimum of $30 million in annual revenues within five years with a clear path to profitability. Funding need should not exceed $250,000 and pre-money valuation of startup companies should not exceed $4 million. Due to the widening gap in the capital markets, there is a shortage of funding available at the seed stage ($250K-$5M). This funding gap represents a great opportunity for investment in companies with substantial growth potential but an inability to attract venture capital. Since 2009 SSA has grown to more than 50 members throughout the state of Oklahoma.
