The University of Florida's Sid Martin Biotechnology Incubator is a statewide and national resource for growing promising companies that originate from university-based discoveries. The facility, opened in 1995, includes Wet labs, office space, conference rooms, high bandwidth Internet access, greenhouse, pilot fermentation and small animal facilities, plus extensive scientific and business equipment. Sid Martin Incubator companies have attracted more than $9.3 billion in funding and M&A activity, and companies have raised $7.5 billion of that funding. Since inception in 1995, graduates created more than 8,160 high-tech jobs.
