Founded in 1985, with the founding of Atlas Oil Company by Sam Simon, Simon Group Holdings is a private equity firm that invests through two funds--a real estate fund and a growth fund. SGH's operationally-focused private equity funds are used to invest in lower middle-market firms, which pursue a value-add investment and growth strategy, and real estate funds invest in a variety of real estate assets including undervalued commercial real estate, multifamily properties and troubled loans secured by a commercial real estate, as well as special situations. Investment size is between $5 million and $100 million.
