Skywalker Holdings, LLC is a privately held investment vehicle for George Lucas, creator of the Star Wars franchise. According to Forbes, Lucas is worth nearly $5 billion. Skywalker includes a property management company located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Locations include Letterman Digital Arts Center, Skywalker Ranch, PWP, LLC and Summit Skywalker Ranch in Marin. The 4,700-acre Skywalker Ranch in Marin County, about 40 minutes north of San Francisco, is home to a working farm with Wagyu cattle, a winery and a movie studio. The family office also owns vineyards in France. In 1991 Lucas founded Skywalker Vineyards on four acres in Marin County. The vineyard now has 26 acres and adjacent operations include a seven-acre olive tree grove, and bee colonies that produce the Ranch's honey. An entity controlled by Lucas recently bought real estate in Los Angeles, California, that may be connected to the filmmaker's planned Lucas Museum of Narrative Art scheduled to open next year.
