Source Capital was founded in 2002 to invest in the lower end of the middle market generally underserved by the private equity community. Source Capital is an Atlanta and San Francisco-based private equity firm that makes equity investments in mature, lower middle-market U.S. companies across a range of industries. Investments are primarily in the form of management-backed leveraged acquisitions, recapitalizations and growth financings. Source Capital's investment strategy targets both healthy growing companies seeking a growth-oriented partner and distressed businesses that are over leveraged and/or operate in out-of-favor sectors. Source Capital has invested in a wide range of industries including business services, consumer products & services, distribution & supply (value-added), healthcare, industrial and light manufacturing. The firm targets companies with greater than $2 million of EBITDA and revenue greater than $10 million. Since its founding, Source Capital has made more than 60 equity platform and add-on acquisitions.
