Founded in 2000, Spire Capital is an active and experienced private equity firm with an investment focus in small market companies within the business services, information services, media, and communications sectors. Spire Capital currently has approximately $900 million in assets under management across two funds. Spire Capital focuses on companies typically under $100 million in Enterprise Value with significant operating leverage, barriers to entry, recurring revenue streams and superior growth potential. Spire creates value by (i) expanding distribution channels, (ii) broadening geographic territory, (iii) increasing the number of, and demand for, products or services, (iv) pursuing strategic acquisitions and (v) facilitating new business relationships for our companies within our vast network of relationships. Spire Capital's primary focus on small market companies with enterprise value of $100MM or less (minimum of $10MM in revenue, minimum of $3MM in EBITDA) insulates it to some degree to the extremely competitive upper small market and mid market where firms typically focus on companies with EBITDA of $10MM or more and enterprise values exceeding $100MM. A typical investment ranges from $15MM to $50MM. The firm's investment focus is almost exclusively domestic. Since inception, Spire has invested in 26 platform companies and consummated over 90 add-on acquisitions.
