StarTec Investments is a private venture capital firm founded in 1998 by Joy J. Lindsay and Thomas J. McLeod, Sr. The primary investment focus of StarTec is early stage technology companies in Minnesota. StarTec makes investments ranging from $50,000 to $500,000. Ms. Lindsay is a member and past chair of the Minnesota High Tech Association board of directors, is a member of the Advisory Board at the Holmes Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Minnesota, and has served as Secretary and Vice-President of the Minnesota Venture Capital Association.
