Stonehenge was formed in 1999 by the former principals of Banc One Capital Markets, the venture capital and investment banking subsidiary of Bank One Corporation (now JPMorgan Chase). The firm has offices in Georgia, Louisiana, Connecticut, New York, Texas, Ohio, and Mississippi. SGC manages $80 million targeting growth equity opportunities. SGC's equity investments focus predominantly on high potential technology and business services companies based in the Southeast, Northeast, and Texas. SGC has invested over $500 million in small businesses by focusing on $1-$5 million mezzanine and growth equity investments. Stonehenge Growth Capital invests up to $10 million at a time in support of growth, buyouts, recapitalizations and acquisitions. SGC has invested more than $1.1 billion in over 100 companies to date. The team is currently managing more than $400 million in 15 state-targeted funds, which has created and retained more than 12,000 jobs. The firm invests in companies with capital requirements in excess of $1 million for Expansion and Growth Capital; Management Buyouts; Acquisitions; Recapitalizations; Industry Consolidations; and Technology Commercialization.
