TI established a corporate VC program in 1996 and remains an active investor today. TI Strategic Relationships and Ventures acts as the interface between startups and relevant TI business units, streamlining access to technology teams where appropriate for exploratory discussions. Occasionally, TI will make strategic equity investments, typically accompanied by a commercial agreement with a TI business. The firm is also a strategic ecosystem partner with Silicon Catalyst, the world's only startup incubator focused exclusively on accelerating startup solutions in silicon.
