TechRanch was founded in 2000 by a group of Montana business leaders. The TechRanch Foundation manages the Bridger Private Capital Network (BPCN), the Big Sky Venture Capital Conference (BSVCC), the TREK (TechRanch Entrepreneur Knowledge) seminar series and provides practical business advice and mentoring to high growth entrepreneurs in Montana. TRF's mission is to help Montana based companies grow and create high paying jobs. TechRanch has earned awards from the Small Business Association (SBA), The National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Montana Ambassadors for its innovative work with high-growth companies in rural and underserved regions. BPCN manages a network of angel investors, venture capitalist and commercial lenders.
