Founded in 1997, The Angels' Forum (TAF) is an early-stage investment organization comprised of 25 private equity investors who are supported by a professional financial services management team. The Angels' Forum only invests in Silicon Valley/Bay Area companies, reviewing more than 20 deals per week and making 5-15 A round investments annually. The firm limits its investments to companies headquartered within 50 miles of Mountain View, CA. Typical initial investments range between $100,000 and $1 million in a wide range of industry sectors including medical devices and services, IT, Internet and consumer. The group also operates the Halo Fund (see profile), a limited partnership venture fund that co-invests with The Angels' Forum (TAF). Generally, The Halo Fund matches the investment made by The Angels' Forum dollar for dollar, but when certain criteria have been met, The Halo Fund can match $1.50 for every TAF dollar. The total size of an investment by the group is $3 million. For 20 years, it deployed more than $75 million to help hundreds of entrepreneurs.
