The Yard Ventures is a community of Harvard alums: investors, executives, entrepreneurs, and innovation enthusiasts with a connection to one of Harvard's 15 schools. At its core, Yard Ventures is a Harvard alum venture fund investing in Harvard alum-led companies. The group is private, for profit, and not part of Harvard. Every year, Yard raises capital from up to 99 alums ($50k - $500k per investor) then source deals from the Harvard network. The group invests in 20 - 30 deals per year spanning a range of industries, stages, and geographies. Investors musts be accredited--annual income of $200k+, or with spouse $300k+.
