Third Lake Capital is a family office specializing in a broad range of investments including private equity, real estate, and venture capital. The firm makes investments, co-investments, and functions as a limited partner in venture capital, private equity, private credit. The firm manages the assets of Ronald Wanek, the founder of America's largest home furniture manufacturer and retailer, Ashley Furniture. According to Forbes, Wanek is worth $4.9 billion. In 2017, the firm purchased 200 Central, St. Petersburg's tallest office tower, for $65.75 million. Third Lake was also an equity partner for the development of ONE St. Petersburg, a 41-story 253-unit condo tower, that opened in 2018 in downtown St. Pete. Third Lake also owns shopping centers and nursing homes. Wanek has donated millions to the Mayo Clinic to help improve treatment for a heart defect that affected his granddaughter at birth.
