Transom Capital Group is a private equity firm focusing on investments in the consumer, industrial, and media & entertainment industries that present opportunities for both operational efficiency improvements and revenue growth. The firm focuses on small- and middle-market companies, especially but not exclusively in Southern California. Transom Capital differentiates itself from other private equity firms via its heavy operationally-focused model through which the Principals are deeply involved in the key operational decisions of their portfolio companies, particularly within the first 3-6 months post-acquisition. Transom targets small- and middle-market companies with enterprise values between $10 million and $100 million, and with a potential for equity investment of $5 million to $20 million. Transom targets companies with EBITDA of < $0 (special situations) to $20M or more. In 2016 the firm announced the closing of Transom Capital Fund II, L.P., (Fund II) with $133M of limited partner capital commitments.
