Vanterra Capital is a global private equity firm that manages assets for a diverse investor base of ultra-high net worth partners and leading institutions. Vanterra currently manages over $1.5 billion of assets across various private equity funds and associated investment vehicles. Vanterra utilizes a thematic macro-driven approach to identify attractive investment sectors for private equity capital. Some of the platforms established to date include India, Healthcare, Distressed Real Estate, and Transformative Energy and Materials. The Firm's private equity platform has two components: Fund Investments- Seed or invest in 'best of class' specialized private equity managers that have sector expertise and a unique ability for value creation. Vanterra often takes an active role in supporting its platform managers by participating on the Investment Committee, sourcing opportunities, and assisting with financial structuring and oversight of underlying investments. The firm also makes Direct Investments: Investing directly in lower-middle-market companies (typically with transaction values between $20 and $300 million). Direct investments may include (1) investments alongside fund platforms, and (2) investments originating from the proprietary network of Vanterra and its affiliates. Vanterra was formed as a partnership between Mr. Shad Azimi and Quadrant Management. Quadrant is a principal investment management firm ($3 billion under management) focused on the U.S. and emerging markets.
