The Yellowstone Group is a Houston-based, private equity and venture capital investment firm, focused on acquiring and/or investing in small to medium-sized businesses in the following industry groups: Industrial & Energy Equipment Manufacturing, Branded Food & Beverage, Health-care/Life Sciences, and Alternative & Renewable Energy Technologies. Yellowstone makes its acquisitions and investments primarily employing a majority investor 'buyout' approach, although a venture capital/minority investment model is also employed, particularly in the healthcare/life sciences and alternative/renewable energy sectors. In a 'buyout' transaction, Yellowstone invests between $3 million and $10 million. General investments range between $50,000 and $3 million. For venture-level investing in the Healthcare/Life Sciences field, Yellowstone does not require a minimum level of revenue. Yellowstone requires a minimum of $10 million of annual revenues for Industrial & Energy Equipment Manufacturing and Branded Food & Beverage sectors, and revenues of $10-50 million for stand-alone acquisitions.
