    Description:

Formerly the Women's Technology Cluster, Astia was founded in 1999 by Cate Muther (former CMO of Cisco) as part of her foundation, the Three Guineas Fund. Astia became an independent not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization in 2003. Astia's mission is to foster the full participation and leadership of women in entrepreneurship and as accelerators of high growth businesses. The group accelerates the funding and growth of companies through programs that are designed for start-ups at all stages. These programs are supported by over 450 members of Astia's Advisor Network that includes more than 300 former and current CEOs and 200 investors. Astia works with, on average each year, 55-60 companies. Since 2003, more than $1 billion has been raised by presenting companies with 23 exits to date, including 2 IPOs.
