    Description:

Founded in 2013 CapitalG began as Google Capital, a growth equity investment fund. The group changed its name to CapitalG in 2016, after Google created Alphabet to serve as its parent company. According to published reports, the division works with an annual allotment of $300 million from Google, and plans to do five or six deals this year. The fund invests in companies around the world that drive market disruption by harnessing long-term technology trends.
