    The Enterprise Center of Johnson County is a business incubator that provides high-growth potential companies and entrepreneurs with the resources they need to build successful businesses in Johnson County, Kansas. The Enterprise Center is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation funded by the government of Johnson County, Kansas, the Kansas Technology Enterprise Corporation (KTEC) and the Kauffman Foundation, as well as several corporate and foundation sponsors. The Enterprise Center is also home to the Kansas Women's Business Center, a public/private partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration. The Enterprise Center provides cost-effective office space, shared resources, an entrepreneurial environment and a full range of business consulting services. The Incubator space includes a 13,366 sq. ft. facility with 33 individual offices, one company suite, 4 conference/meeting rooms, a reception area, break room and storage areas. Since 2000, Enterprise Center affiliate and client companies have included technology, biotechnology and business services companies that have raised in excess of $79 million in debt and equity funding. The firm's ideal client is an early-stage 'high-return' company with an innovative product or service that has potential national or international relevance. A Johnston County, KS, location is preferred, though not required. Mid-America Angels (MAA) is professionally managed by the staff of the ECJC, each member makes his or her own investment decisions. MAA typically invests in companies in the Kansas City region and provides early-stage commercialization funding in the 'seed round' investment range not typically served by venture capitalists ($250,000 to $1.5M).
