Founded in 2007, Salem Halifax Capital Partners is a $105 million private venture capital fund with offices in Washington, DC, and Atlanta. The firm seeks long-term capital appreciation with privately held companies located in the Southeastern U.S. Salem bridges the gap between pure equity funds and traditional senior bank financing by providing companies with subordinated, mezzanine debt and equity investments. Salem Halifax invests primarily in management and leverage buyouts, acquisition financing, and growth funding in companies with a minimum of $1.5 million of EBITDA, and $10-75 million of revenue. The firm's typical investment ranges from $2 million to $10 million and often co-invests with some of its strategic investment partners for those transactions requiring larger amounts of capital. Investments typically have a time horizon of five years. Salem prefers traditional manufacturing, distribution and/or service businesses employing low to medium technology. In total, SCP invested in 36 companies across numerous industries and transaction types with a successful track record for its investors.
